On the excellent horror blog

Cinematheque in Copenhagen shelves in February the British director, writer and artist Clive Barker, who broke through the border and macabre short stories in BOOKS OF BLOOD trilogy, and has since made a significant mark on the genre with the film HELLRAISER that gave us Pinhead - a figure with a clout on par with Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. Barker's universe is filled with monsters and magic, and many of his stories have a touch of fantasy or is firmly planted in the genre. In addition unbridled geoffrey barker use of the erotic as a driving force in both the stories geoffrey barker and their characters. It is of course Barkers film production, which is the focus of the Cinematheque program, and especially is a Denmark premiere of Nightbreed: DIRECTOR'S CUT enough an event that can draw people from houses. The film is shown twice, and at one of the performances will Barker-connoisseur Lars Kramhøft introduce the lecture "From CABAL to Nightbreed". geoffrey barker HELLRAISER is on the program three times, and here one of the evenings will be initiated by genre expert Nicolas Barbano geoffrey barker with the lecture "Barker's sexual universe." In a double-conception can see two early Barker shorts SALOME and THE FORBIDDEN, and so is LORD OF ILLUSIONS course with the Cinematheque's cavalcade.
