One of the leading writers in the horror is Clive Barker. The man is particularly known for the horrorhit Hellraiser. This film is based on one of his stories and Barker directed himself. He broke through in 1984 with the first three Books of Blood. It discussed here The Midnight Meat Train is a film adaptation christmas window display of the first story from the first book. In 1985 the three sequels appeared. Stephen King called him the future of horror in an interview and since then Clive Barker a well known name in the horror world. After the overwhelming success of Hellraiser and its sequels appeared more adaptations of Barkers stories. Unfortunately applies here (as for King incidentally) that quantity is something totally different quality. The Midnight Meat Train it has become a film that may be. Framed Finally after all these years the level of Hellraiser met, if not exceeded. This depends on several factors. christmas window display So there initially director Ryuhei Kitamura. This man was in his native Japan for a reasonable greatness, for he was tested. His luck in Hollywood The beautiful atmospheric images of New York in conjunction with chilling shots in the subway give production much atmosphere that it needs. He also has to get the right pace and he gets the best from his actors. The print is carried by its three protagonists Bradley Cooper christmas window display (The Hangover and Alias.) As a "hero", Lesley Bibb (Iron Man) as his curious girlfriend and Vinnie Jones (Snatch) as the silent butcher. In particular, Jones is excellent in place. His face and posture give his character that extra ominous. Despite christmas window display the many rondspattende blood and bone fragments, but the man seems to know. Facial expression He needs this, according christmas window display to the end which is rather far-fetched. However, this twist ensures christmas window display that the film has in it an instant classic. The supporting role of Brooke Shields and cameos from Ted Raimi and wrestler Quenton "Rampage" Jackson give the horror fan a lot of recognition. Hopefully Kitamura more short stories by Barker take to task. This title tasted at least for more. A-Film has Midnight Meat Train except also released on Blu-ray Disc to DVD. The original theatrical format of 2.35:1 is not retained for the DVD release. The image is in fact cut into 1.78:1 anamorphic. Above and below, there is now more visible (see screenshot 1). We are dealing with an \ "open christmas window display matte \ 'version of the film here. This does not interfere directly because of the additional image information, but it is not the image as the creators intended. A point deduction so. Furthermore, the transfer looks just fine. Not everything is always as sharp, but this seems to be a conscious choice as to the displayed time. A more realistic look Film Grain is slightly christmas window display present. Occasionally there are digital compression flaws can be observed. The scenes in the subway have a steel blue glow, which gives a nice creepy feel to these pieces. Indeed, it is here where it flows (dark red) blood. All scenes out here have a warm, red glow. This puts the viewer christmas window display often on the wrong track. During the dark portions of the film is not all equally visible, but this seems consciously done. For a production christmas window display like this a good picture, where it is a pity that it has not kept. The original ratio The Midnight Meat Train is divided into 12 chapters. The optional Dutch subtitles are legible and is in the right height in the image. Sound quality
